It doesn't matter if your house is a mess, your kids are grubby, and the dog has just rolled in a large puddle of mud, you need to let go of being perfect, take out your camera and start snapping.
This is an old photo that isn't perfect by any means, but it makes me smile all the same.
We live in a world where everyone is portraying how to be 'perfect'. Don't be perfect - be real - be you. You want to take images of your family that reflect the way they are right now - not how you 'think' they should be.
Here are some fast tips to get you using your camera daily. And let's not forget my helper for the day, my daughter Sophie. Soph not only keeps me on time, but she's also my second shooter. While everyone is looking at me, she's busy getting the side view and any little awesome shots in-between.
She was a huge help this weekend, thanks Soph!
Above all, have fun! Digital cameras allow us to experiment with our images and only keep the ones we like. Win win! Remember, there are no mistakes, only lessons. :)
Happy snapping! :)
I even have special spots worked out at my parents house that I know work well for photos. Makes life so much easier!
This room works really well for light in the early afternoon but it's terrible in the morning.
